A freelance experienced mechanical design engineer in Cornwall with over 20 years experience across various sectors, from construction with steelwork and staircase design through to subsea and deck handling equipment. This experience has generated an ability to solve problems from various potentially unconsidered angles, giving concepts life, longevity and cost effective solutions

How it works:

If you have structural engineers drawings and need steel detailing, its as simple as sending the drawings you have through. A fixed price will be quoted for the drawings needed including booking a site visit. If accepted then we'll begin interactions and get drawings produced. When the drawings are issued for approval, any comments are addressed and then they are ready for issuing for manufacture.

What happens during a site visit:

Dependant on the site, whether its a new build or an existing structure we will use LiDAR to produce an accurate 3D model we can utilise to ensure an accurate environment to produce the steelwork to fit into.

Designing stairs, balustrades, railings and mezzanines requires strict adherence to standards to comply with building control. If this is a completely new stair then it will also require engineering. We can help with it all. We manage subcontract engineers that 3rd party verify the structure and integrity of the finished product.

We can design exactly what type of stair or railing you need and ensure its compliant and exactly what you want in your premises and help you get through planning applications if required. Using LiDAR technology we produce a 3D model to ensure correct fitment and minimise costs
